When it came time for our agency's yearly pro-bono project with the International Rescue Committee the world was in a refugee crisis. Ukraine and Afghanistan were top of mind for the whole world. For a campaign for World Refugee Day, our goal was to capture the humanity of these refugees by telling their stories in their words using real footage sourced from refugees. More importantly, our aim was to remind everyone that a refugee crisis doesn't happen to foreigners halfway across the world. It happens to other human beings just like us. We made this happen with film assets across social and OLV, plus a full scale OOH display in Times Square.
